Yummo. My gf and I attempted this dish for the first time over the weekend and it turned out quite well considering. Chicken tastes the best when it tastes like chicken, and Hainanese Chicken is the one of the best ways to accomplish such a feat. I won’t post the recipe yet as I would like to do justice to this well known dish by mastering it some more, you could always google it if you are that keen.

Sorry for the lack of updates, it’s been crazy busy here lately. My darling made me her delicious mapo tofu last night, I gobbled it up like I hadn’t eaten for days. She likes her chilli so she made it nice and hot. Yum.

And some green beans with miso dressing I made last week. I was supposed to use toasted sesame seeds but didn’t have any on hand, it still tasted nice with roasted sesame oil used as a substitute. Quick and easy too.

I made udon noodles and soy broth and teriyaki chicken for dinner tonight so I don’t have any new recipes to post. I prepared a jar full of teriyaki sauce to make life easier for me in future. Now whenever I have a hankering for some teriyaki chicken goodness, all I have to do is whip the sauce out of the fridge and pour it into the pan. Nice one Tuan, give yourself a pat on the back mate.
And in other news, I believe I may have poured way too much vodka into my after dinner drink tonight. *head is spinning*
