Hainanese Chicken
Yummo. My gf and I attempted this dish for the first time over the weekend and it turned out quite well considering. Chicken tastes the best when it tastes like chicken, and Hainanese Chicken is the one of the best ways to accomplish such a feat. I won’t post the recipe yet as I would like to do justice to this well known dish by mastering it some more, you could always google it if you are that keen.

What ever you do, dont ever order Hainan Jifan in Hainan. It is weird stuff with coconut soggy rice.
In Hainan, the SE Asia version of Hainanese chicken rice is actually called Wenchang Jifan.
Man was I dissappointed when I went all the way to Hainan to taste the authentic Jifan to be given something that did not represent the Jifan I knew.
